General aviation
Apart from regular airlines and charters, Erfurt Airport can also be used for general aviation. Only sailplanes, balloons, ultra light aircraft and
blimps require a special permit.
24 hour operation (with prior approval between 22:00 and 06:00) provides every pilot with the opportunity to fly into the airport of the Thuringia
state capital.
The air traffic control staff will be happy to answer any of your questions about flight restrictions at night, on Sundays or on public holidays.
The general aviation premises are located in Operational building 1 and have a separate entrance, where the security checks and, if
necessary, customs and border control formalities are carried out between 06:00 and 22:00 (other times on request).
A self-briefing area for general aviation, air traffic control, airport charges and a paid VIP lounge is also located here.

The refuelling service is guaranteed by BP / EFS 24 hours a day and provides JET A1 and AVGAS 100LL.
